Upgrade your system with more RAM and achieve a significant increase in performance. The operating system and the programs can be loaded directly into the main memory with sufficient RAM and are available particularly quickly thanks to random access and access times in the nanosecond range. If there is too little RAM, the operating system and programs are stored on the hard disk, whose access times are considerably higher in the millisecond range. DDR4 brings some improvements in speed and performance compared to previous generations. A fourth generation RAM bar has more pins connected to the board to accommodate the higher speed. Each DIMM gets a direct line to the CPU controller to avoid delays or bottlenecks in the data transfer from the CPU to the RAM. DDR4 also includes innovations that reduce power consumption and increase reliability
- Power Supply: VDD=1.2V Typical
- VDDQ = 1.2V Typical
- VPP – 2.5V Typical
- VDDSPD=2.2V to 3.6V
- Nominal and dynamic on-die termination (ODT) for data, strobe, and mask signals
- Low-power auto self refresh (LPASR)
